Cheri Luff joined the UBT family in August 1996, after four years as a dental claims examiner and another five in a local insurance company's variable life and annuity division. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, her favorite part of working in the UBT Trust department is “building relationships with families and carrying on those relations with their extended family.”

Cheri is the treasurer of Uplifting Paws in Lincoln, a nonprofit that trains service and therapy dogs. Her most impactful moment — not counting the births of her two kids — was trudging through a foot of mud and muck and then being forced to bulldoze her childhood home after the 2019 Fremont flood. Experiencing that heartbreak makes Cheri even more determined to stand beside families during their toughest struggles.
