Have you ever been stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to caring for your furry family member? Unfortunately, there are many who experience this on a daily basis. In some cases pets are surrendered to Capital Humane Society, due to no fault of their own, because their families that love them do not have the financial means to continue to care for them.
Earlier this year Capital Humane Society launched our Pawsitive Impact Project to provide services and resources to income qualified community members including affordable preventative veterinary care and a pet supply and food pantry. With this $100,000 gift we would be able to further expand the services and resources provided by this program to include a canine spay/neuter grant program, emergency veterinary care fund, assistance with pet deposits for those who rent, and behavior/training assistance for income qualified pet owners. We believe that all pets and pet owners in our community should have access to all of these services, in order to help keep their pet in their current home, with their loving family.
