What’s going on at Union Bank Place?
We’re excited to welcome the public to Union Bank Place, our newest location — nestled in the heart of downtown Lincoln, it’s chock-full of great things that are already happening or in the works. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for you in this iconic building.
Small business hub
One key focus of revamping this historic downtown banking center was to make it a hub for small businesses. Our growing Small Business department has been relocated to Union Bank Place, and they’ve helped design a multipurpose space for local businesses to use for meetings, conferences, and whatever else they might need some professional space for. Stories Coffee Company
“People. Love. Coffee.” It’s not just a great slogan, it’s the way Stories Coffee Co. operates. They prioritize people and love — and serve up flavorful coffee drinks to the people they love (hint: it’s their customers). We’re proud to have this local small business take up shop in Union Bank Place to offer downtown Lincoln another great place to get their caffeinated needs met. Small business pop-up shop
Are you seeing a small business theme here yet? In the ongoing spirit of making Union Bank Place a small business hub, we’ve also added a space for small businesses to sell their wares. Periodically, a new small business will take up residency in our pop-up space right inside Union Bank Place.
Convenient branch location
In addition to all of its unique offerings, Union Bank Place will also host a full-service branch — and a mortgage loan officer — to better serve the downtown area. Marta is our new Branch Manager at UBT, and her team is ready to provide exceptional customer service to Union Bank Place customers. Additionally, Mortgage Loan Officer Mariana Hunt is bilingual in English and Spanish and will continue to serve the downtown area with her home loan expertise. Architecture and atmosphere
In addition to all the banking features we’ve added to the space, one of the best things about Union Bank Place is the architecture and history of the building itself. Built during the immediate post-Vietnam era, this unique Nebraska-shaped building has a rich banking history — as well as awe-inspiring architectural attention to detail, like the 93 windows signifying Nebraska’s 93 counties. We brought in one of the best architectural firms in town, Sinclair Hille, to seamlessly blend the historical aspects with some modern touches designed to keep up with banking needs now and in the future. Click here to read an interview with them and how they honored the history of the building.
We look forward to personally welcoming you to Union Bank Place. Stop in any time to check out the space and meet the team!
