This webinar, hosted by Union Bank & Trust's expert, John Nownes, on November 2, 2023, focused on those SECURE 2.0 provisions that will apply to employer-sponsored retirement plans beginning in 2024. Among the topics presented were matching contributions on student loan payments, domestic abuse distributions, emergency personal expense distributions, as well as pension-linked emergency savings accounts, and the new lifetime minimum distribution rules for participants with Roth accounts. In addition, the webinar addressed the delayed implementation of mandatory Roth contributions for higher paid participants, the long-term part-time employee rules that take effect in 2024, and the IRS limits for 2024.
