Just when you thought our ATMs couldn’t get any better: UBT’s new video ATM combines the convenience and accessibility of an ATM with our trademark personalized service. Also known as an interactive teller machine, or ITM, this next-level ATM experience allows our customers to complete standard ATM transactions using a debit card or use video chat to engage the personal service of a live banker (during branch hours). And while this may sound a little intimidating, it honestly couldn’t be easier to use! We’ll walk you through some common questions here, and by the time you head down to our Union Bank Place location to try it out, you’ll feel like a pro. Let’s jump in!

What is the difference between a video ATM and a regular ATM?

A video ATM is much more than a conventional ATM, as it makes personal transactions between you and UBT staff possible. It allows for transactions beyond basic self-service, making more complex deposits, withdrawals, and transfers possible in addition to check cashing, loan payments, and more.

What does the video ATM look like?

The video ATM looks like an ATM, with the addition of a video screen. That makes sense, as it is an ATM, with the added convenience of real-time, face-to-face conversations with a UBT teller via a video link.

I’m excited! Where can I use the video ATM?

The video ATM is located at our Union Bank Place location. While the lobby entrance is at 1248 O St., you can conveniently enter the drive thru at 1239 P St., and the video ATM is in the fourth lane. Live service will be available during regular branch hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Outside of those hours, you can still use the video ATM for standard ATM functions, like withdraws and deposits.

Is there a charge or fee to use the video ATM?

There is no charge for Union Bank customers to use the video ATM.

Will I need to show my ID?

UBT strives to protect our customers’ information, so you may be asked to present your ID to verify your identity, whether it’s at the video ATM, the drive-thru, or the teller line. Please be patient with us if you’re asked for ID — remember, it’s all in service of safeguarding your accounts.

What happens to coins when using the video ATM?

Coin can’t be deposited into nor dispensed by the video ATM; however, coin deposits and withdrawals of any size can be made in the branch lobby.

Are there other transactions that I should come into the lobby for?

While the video ATM is great for so many transactions, please come into the lobby to make commercial deposits, change orders, or for account maintenance or wire requests.

Why did UBT add a video ATM now?

Downtown especially, where parking and time can be at a premium, we wanted to offer customers personal assistance without having to go inside. Adding a video ATM to our Union Bank Place location allows us to offer you the latest in banking technology and convenience, with the ease of staying in your vehicle.

We can’t wait for you to try out this new addition to UBT’s suite of customer conveniences. It’s automatic banking at its finest, backed by our amazing associates. Stop by Union Bank Place and check it out!
